Does teeth matter that much?
I 31F have had some bad luck when it comes to my teeth. I had a condition which made my enamel super thin and essentially would just fall off thus leaving the tooth exposed and would initially rot away. 2 pregnancies sped up this process. I recently got all my teeth removed and I'm in the process of getting dentures. I'll add that I've never done drugs. Smoke cigarettes yes but never anything hard. I recently decided to try dating again as I've been pretty lonely to be honest. I joined a site and matched with someone who seemed genuine. For context, I don't wear makeup nor do I use filters so the photos they see is really how I look. I was upfront about me not having teeth and they said that I mattered not my teeth. Being so insecure about my teeth or now lack thereof, that was such a relief to hear. Fast forward to meeting him, the date didn't last long. As soon as I started talking he stopped me and said he thought I was joking about not having teeth. Went on to say I must be crazy if I ever thought someone would want to be with someone without teeth. Said men don't want to be embarrassed or ashamed of the women they are with and that he was already embarrassed to even be sitting with me. Needless to say, this impacted me more than I'd like to admit. I immediately deleted my account. Does it matter that much?
