Our stand on imperialism and Iran-Isreal.
Mods, please don't take this down. I’m not trying to start a flame war or go deep into the Israel-Palestine rabbit hole. Everyone has their own narratives and biases.
But what happened recently—wasn’t it just wrong?Israel targeted top Iranian military leaders, nuclear scientists, and reportedly even their families. Some Iranian sources claim around 80 people died. The justification? That Israel wants to stop Iran from getting nuclear capabilities—while Israel itself reportedly has around 200 nukes, backed by the West.
If Iran is seen as a threat to Israel’s existence, then isn’t Israel also a threat to any chance of lasting peace in the Middle East?
Weren’t we, as Indians, traditionally against imperialism and occupation? I know the official stance will always be diplomatic, but I’m honestly curious about what moderate Indians think. Palestine has been reduced from a country to narrow strips of rubble and orphans, all under the label of Israel’s "self-defense."
I see some people—especially Pro-BJP/RSS types—openly supporting Israel, and I can’t help but feel that it’s more about their issues with Muslims in India than any real understanding of the conflict.
Maybe I’m biased towards Iran, but I’m confused and want to hear other perspectives. What do you all think?
