can we PLEASE stop this

there’s a lot of talk around gender ratios, waifu pandering, etc recently, and i just have some things to say about it.

first of all, being gay does NOT give u a pass to be misogynistic.

i get that most of us here are gay men, and that we prefer male characters, but that’s no excuse to tear down female characters and be misogynistic. it’s okay to prefer male characters, but it isn’t okay to spread hate around female characters. there’s a way to like or want more male characters without bombarding women. i love the male characters of this game and i’d love for there to be more, but i love the female characters too, and i wouldn’t want them gone.

additionally, i’ve seen that any kind of comments positively talking about female characters get downvoted. i won’t share screenshots just because i don’t think it’s necessary, as i don’t want to draw unwanted attention to these people. but there was a post a while ago about the 5.7 banners, and the people saying they want to pull for the female 5*s were getting downvoted! it really concerns me because this is supposed to be a supportive and safe space for everyone, but this creates the narrative that people think we should only like male characters and hate female characters.

there’s definitely more examples but i don’t want this to be too long and i lowk can’t think of them right now…

BUT… if any of u guys have some explanations about this (that don’t involve misogyny please lol) i’d be open to listen and discuss.
