is this a bad sign?

so basically my boyfriend isn’t a super lovey dovey person (at least compared to me) he will cuddle me, hold my hand, give me forehead kisses like 24/7 but he’s not one with words, everytime we get off the phone or he drops me off he tells me he adores me (our version of i love you) but sometimes i just need to have a over load of lovey dovey stuff so i’ll say “i need to be love bombed now” and he’ll smother me with kisses and hugs and call me pretty etc etc but i can’t help but feel upset that he doesn’t already do that without me asking, am i wrong for feeling that way?
