Feeling unfamiliar to the dunya
I’m curious if any scholars have ever spoken on this. I’m not crazy, or mental before anyone assumes haha. I’m very level headed Alhamdulillah.
Though I rarely get this very odd feeling. I look around my same room everyday, yet it never looks familiar. It feels fake? Days don’t feel real sometimes, when I look back to the fast paced time, and how one day none of what’s around me will exist I feel not uneasy- it used to be unease when I wasn’t close to Allah, but distant. I hear, but I don’t feel like I’m listening, I see, but I’m not present in what I’m looking at. I always just say to myself it’s because this world is temporary, this isn’t our final abode so there is a disconnect to it all, but I’m just curious if someone could explain it more. It’s not a flaw in Allahs creation ofc, Allah is perfect, so I’d like a better understanding.
Sometimes when I’m out in the world, observing a large crowd, it feels so robotic, maybe a haze? It’s also a level of awe “ how can this, be real” subhanallah, I hope I didn’t come off as a crack head hahah. JazakAllahu khair
