Any MCA grads from Tier 3 colleges working in core software roles at top product-based companies?

General

Are there any MCA (non-BTech) grads here from Tier 3 colleges who made it into core software development roles at top product-based companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc.?

I'm curious to know how you cracked it—what skills mattered, what roadblocks you faced (like degree bias), and whether the "degree doesn't matter, only skills do" mantra holds true in reality.

Would love honest, no-BS stories. Did you have to do something drastically different—or is this path realistically open for most MCA grads from average colleges?
