I need some positivity

Rant and Vent

I’m stealth MTF (26) and straight. Lately I’ve been in a point of life where I deeply crave a relationship and I’m wanting to start a family, but I find my transsexuality to be this kind of dirty secret that’s keeping me from showing up entirely as myself. I’m conventionally attractive and often get stopped and complimented by people in real life on a daily basis for my looks. People don’t know I’m trans. While on dating apps I avoid putting my trans status on the bios because I don’t want to out myself to people who I don’t know and also not scare off men that could potentially fall for me if they got to know me more intimately.

I often match with guys I really like, get on the phone with them, establish a connection, but when it comes time to meet in person I find a reason to cut them off because I’m scared of prolonging a possible future rejection from them. I’m deeply scared of how they could react after finding out, especially considering the current political climate around trans people (I also have PTSD from experiences I had with men during the first months of my medical transition that didn’t go well years ago).

I’m not making this post to feel sorry about myself. I would like to hear positive stories from other stealth straight trans women in regards to dating and finding love. I know that I will eventually get with the right man for me, but I just want to get over this fear that keeps me paralyzed.
