How to start living without money (and exit the matrix)
Let me start by outlining a couple of concepts. Number one, by "matrix" I m3an the artificially constructed beliefs, rituals(habits) and laws that most people follow without understanding why, or how or what-for. This applies to:
- Social settings (acting kind, polite, or cordial as a default, deferring to perceived authority, mislabelling dissent as a morally bad judgement).
- behavioural patterns (rituals) / being unable to act as one's true self, especially when alone -Dreams and aspirations (I wish I could do X but no money)
- human herd/group-think and behavior -the idea of rules, law and consequence (I want to live freely, but I fear persecution or punishment by stepping outside the law) etc. Just to name a few.
Next, definition of money. Money are neutral tickets that can be exchanged for value, goods or services.
Importantly: humans do not use money neutrally. There's the idea of scarcity, even though we beat scarcity decades ago. The scarcity we now face is manufactured. For the sake of explaining this concept, I am going to literalise all manufactured scarcity into one entity, and I will call it simply "The Bank" (not referring to a literal or real bank).)
Next Definition: Concrete Jungle.
Most humans who have the problem of being controlled by The Bank live in the concrete jungle biome. It can have any appearance, so don't be fooled by the "concrete" part. Here, the "concrete" refers to the fact that it is artificially manufactured.
The concrete jungle is where "modern humans" have adapted to survive. Here, your body perceives money as water (needing it to survive), yet water is kept under strict lock and key. Your body has developed survival adaptations to get to it no matter what - but it cannot keep up this state of survival indefinitely. It literally isn't built to sustain that level of stress. It will kill a human prematurely every time.
The Bank in this context, becomes a predator. One your body knows about, even if it can't see or hear it literally. Now, The Bank feeds of off blood, "cleans it", then feeds it back to humans as water. If you follow this metaphor, it means the world banks, y9ur local banks, are all in operation due to crimes against humanity somewhere else far away that the locals can barely comprehend, let alone unify against.
Importantly: The Bank is not the only th8ng that keeps humans tethered to the concrete jungles. Let me be frank: most humans in the concrete jungle are drug addicts. You are addicted to sugar, you are addicted to phones, to games, to pretty flashing lights, to sex, to convenience, to group-think, to relationships, to validation -- not just the substances that the rulemakers decide are "against the law". Most of you are trying to exit the concrete junhle (matrix) by starting from ground zero 2hen you need to be understanding thay you should start from rehab - or at least from the understanding that just like manufactured scarcity, manufactured addiction is another tried and true tactic of The Bank.
So, where do we start? MYTH: you don't actually have to start by purifying yourself of every perceived flaw. That will just make the process smoother for you.
INSTEAD: You need to take stock of where you ar3 at right now, and start guiding yourself towards a better collective reality.
Part One: WEANING YOURSELF OFF OF MONEY
Let me be clear: Money only exists to purchase things you cannot make or so with your own hands. The first thing you should do is start reducing. Just like major drug addicts often are not advised by medical professionals to go cold-turkey, neither should you. Give yourself in your mind time and grace.
Start by seeing if you can get your current needs met in other ways. Reduce the amount of money spent per week. Try different items in your food shop.
To be more specific, I'd advise starting off by getting base ingredients instead of ready-made items. Leftover fruit and potatoes can be made into yeast to make bread. Flour and water can be used to make flatbread. The reason the spice trade was so valuable is because with spices, you can make a large broth out of effectively nothing. Rice: just one cup can make a meal. Soups and stews always make more food if it has broth in it. Broth + bread = less meat needed to feed the household.
By the way: diets that exist only to "slim" you pretty much only exist to force your body to adjust to being in a state of starvation. Stay away from those. If you want to see the best version of your body, feed it things from its true natural environment: wherever your ancestors came from. Your body has genetic material adapted to live and thrive there.
In terms of extras: understand that you can trick yourself. If you're addicted to shopping for things that just give you dopamine, find that dopamine in a different way. What you probably need is a bunch of blocks to play with, a creative project, or exercise. You need to use the body you're in to do things. It's not enough just to exist, at least not forever. To truly thrive, you need to be creating, you need to be expressing, and you need to be exploring.
IN REPLACEMENT OF MONEY: You would be surprised by how much your fellow human is actually willing to help you. There is often someone nearby that has the things you require. These often come by serendipity, but you can also find them online, especially on things like facebook marketplace. Check your concrete junhle for local markets or smaller grocery stores. Small businesses put their money into the community, large chains turn that money into blood.
ACTIONABLE IDEAS: build low maintenance gardens from scratch. Even if it starts in some dude's garage. Get chickens as pets. Ask around people you know to see if anyone would be willing to collaborate with you.
Part two: HOUSING
Let me be clear: you do not actually have a housing problem. You have an ownership of land problem. Landlords believe that a piece of paper dictates what they can and cannot do with a property. Most of them put their blood, sweat, and tears into becoming a landlord to be "quietly comfortable" yet unfulfilled. Id est, they believe that since they sacrificed themselves to The Bank, that you should too. Here are some ways to mitigate that
- Own your own house: Congratulations! You're one of the lucky ones. You don't have as many limitations of need, and rather you just need to know how 5o live life in a way that truly resonates with you. If your house is in a bad state, it can always be repaired and/or demolished to start anew.
As for building a house, you can lower your dependance on money by building tiny homes, or by working with what materials are readily available to you, though I doubt you n33d me to tell you that.
- Find somewhere that wants you, or that will let you stay without money.
In NZ we have a practic3 called woofing, it's where you stay on a farm and do chores there, and they let you stay in a cabin.
There are shelters, there are dorms, there are caravans, there are caravan parks. There are empty holiday homes, empty rentals, just sitting there while people go homeless. There are campsites, there are tents. You and like five friends could get together 5o buy a house.
If the idea is, when there's a want in y9ur heart, the universe always responds with creating the perfect landing for it, always. If you want to move or live freely, there's a place that will have you. You just need to figure out how to get there.
Part 3: JOY
In order to motivate yourself to upkeep any large, structural change, you need to start cultivating joy from your changes, small or large. I like to imagine my life as being like in an rpg game, and that's what brings me joy. Every task completed = CP (an experience that will add to me and become useful later).
To list these simply (they are so expansive that it will take me much libger to list in detail)
- understand who you were as a child. Unlike what the concrete jungle will tell you, babies are actually born with fully formed personalities that will be refined as they grow. If going back to being a child is too traumatic for you, try imagine if your adult self suddenly became a child with no memory of the trauma. That child knows more about its joys, dreams and aspirations than your adult self. -Your teen self will teach you identity and judgement. The concrete jungle teaches that to become an adult is to give up. Give up on dreams and injustices. Let me tell you that before the industrial revolution this idea did not exist. It is manufactured, not inherent. -practice being led by joy and excitement. -remove the voice in your head that says "this is silly" or "this is dumb" when you enjoy yoirself. That voice represents the adults or older siblings who didn't want to play with you when you were little. -Use your imagination. It is not "making ifeas out of nothing". First of all, it's a TV and a phone and a bodily control device all in one. If you have aphantasia, you need to use other stimulus, not visual. Get your hands in some slime, some water. Imagine you live in a world where all your wildest dreams are real. Ask yourself: "if x were real, what would be different about how the world functions that I haven't considered until now?" Questions like those will quantum leap you into a new reality.
Part four: Lasting and structural change.
woke up in the america tomorrow, the first thing I would do is run to the nearest reservation, tell them my whakapapa and my pepeha, then ask them how to live off this land. And, despite never having set foot on american soil, I know for a fact that they would take me in. Because I understand how indigenous communities operate, and they would recognise me as one of them.
And so let me tell you what an "indigenous worldview" is. You know the basics: being in harmony with nature, animals and survival skills. It is also:
- an honour society. Leaders are elected based on experience, not merit or paperwork.
- "magic": Many indigenous people already have all the things that westerners have been labelling "intuition", "clairvoyance", "scrying", "animal-speaking", etc. That's why the witchcraft labels stuck so strongly. When indigenous people developed extrasensory gifts, they were not labelled as "crazy" or "ill". They understood it first as a survival adaptation, and secondly as a gift for them to harmonize with nature. They have better language for it, too. Eg. In māori, "aura", "energy", "thoughts", "emotions", (and magic, i daresay) can all be translated to one word: "āhua". -tr3es and grass and animals and sea and fish become more like cousins. Literally. The first woman was created by Tāne, god of the forst, therefore all maori are considered descendants of god, and are gods themselves (like all humans). But not god in the biblical sense. God to us is not a ruler or a boss. Just a living spark with the deepest well of experience. (I would even say that "god" is a mistranslation). The forest is a brother of the sea. Therefore all sea creatures are our cousins from the oceanic line. Etc. -Honour (Mana) was a measurable thing. You could tell visually by tattoos, or you could read their āhua. -societies were pivoted towards self-determination. Not make money forever
I am outlining these things not to glorify indigenous living (though of course, I do love who I am and where I came from), but to share with you the difference in understanding the world. If you start thinking of the world in this way, the structures of the concrete jungle will not be able to latch into your consciousness so easily. Even better: take my ideas and edit them to suit you better. I do not want to be copied for the sake of being copied. I want to instigate change.
The new world order is not going to be new. It's going to be ancient. We're returning back towards how the world operated before the Roman Empire shifted the earth's timelines into dominion and destruction. Learning about earlier ways of living and translating them into a modern context will only aid you.
The structural change is inside your mind. Replace the concrete jungle inside your head with something better. Something more auited to who y9u are. You will gravitate naturally towards like minded people who can help you build that future. This will not be an easy overnighy solution. It will be step by step over a period of time. The movement of people stepping away from overspending, stepping away from traditional minimum wage jobs or even jobs in general, will starve The Bank. I might make a separate post about actually attacking the bank if there's interest for it.
And yes, all these big major corporations have been doing witchcraft. That's what a contract is for.
Lastly, I will leave you with this: all humans are indigenous. Some of you have just gone to a different land than what your ancestors were originally formed in. There is no human culture in existence that wasn't indigenous in its inception. Thank yoi if you read this and may you enjoy the rest of your week.
