Developing dry cough after sinus infection

I [33m, 130lbs] have seasonal allergies(pollen, currently located at east coast US) and after some severe allergy week, I got very first sinus infection symptoms about 2.5 weeks ago and went to a PCP (first time) and got 10 days worth of prescription for Amoxicillin Clauv which seems to have worked. I still have some nose pain and jaw pain but its very mild. Dry cough seems to just creep up and its happening with most random food items. The foods that most affecting me are : clarified butter, yogurt, nuts.

What are some tips to get rid of this weird cough.

I am not a smoker.
