Perhaps server has something for me? (I know, I know, plz read…)

We are both single—she’s in her late 20’s and I’m older. I’ve known this server/bartender for a few years. When we first met she was mean as a rattlesnake.. wouldn’t give me the time of day. At first I was maybe flirting a bit but quickly backed off when she gave me the ice cold shoulder.

One day I went over to say hello and she was particularly nasty… no idea why. Maybe she felt bad because next time I saw her she opened up and was really nice. We had a long and good conversation.

Since then we have talked a lot when things are dead at her job or if I see her around. We really have good conversations… she’s intelligent, has several tough jobs, and we see things from each other’s perspectives.

Here’s the thing: Now, she’s giving me free drinks. When she’s working, she won’t take my money. Free beer! Trust me when I say that I’ve been drinking for a long time… but I’ve never had this happen. Maybe one here and there… but no?!?

Is it possible she wants something more?
