Electrocutions in slashers

Discussion

I've always felt like anytime a character gets electrocuted in a slasher, it's kind of a cop out. There are exceptions, obviously. But, unless someone's eyeballs explode (at the very least), I usually find them to be the least interesting kills in a slasher movie. There are those slashers that are more about atmosphere than gore, in which case the kills themselves might not be as important as the overall dread (I'm lookin' at you, Halloween and Black Christmas), but when I'm watching a nice, down and dirty slasher, I'm almost always disappointed by an electrocution. That being said, when someone manages to pull off a good electrocution, it's a sight to behold. Best electrocution, though it's not a slasher (really, it's only borderline horror), is in The Green Mile.
