Pokemon violet, scarlet, shield, arceus all lost

Hi everyone.. it's a sad day for me as I lost all of my save files while after transfering my pokemon games from my switch 1 to 2. I completely forgot about placing my mons in pokemon home. I shed a few tears, so many hours, training, shinies, events, mons from past games all lost. So I guess, I'm just writing here so that maybe I can help a person or two not make the same mistake I made...
