TW: rare risks but scary. Please be kind.

Just saw another story of a woman dying in childbirth related to AFE and DIC. Some E News Exec. Being advanced maternal age and having a connective tissue disorder myself, I can’t stop thinking about all of the risks of tearing, amniotic leaks, placental abruption, and even dying in childbirth. I thought these things were rare occurrences but too many comments and stories being shared. Does anyone else struggle with these fears and anxieties?
