Eyelid spot
39F. No changes in medication or supplements in a couple years.
About 2 weeks ago this dry spot appeared on my upper eyelid. It doesn’t itch, ooze, or hurt. It’s not hot to the touch. It’s just a spot, and it gets dry and flaky. It makes my eyeshadow look crusty. I’ve cleaned my makeup brushes with antibacterial cleanser to make sure it wasn’t coming from them. I always do, but did it again just in case. It’s red right now - I was in the sun a bit today and just took a shower, it turns red when I use my face wash. I clean with a makeup remover wipe first then CeraVe renewing SA cleanser. I haven’t really been using any lotion, but I started putting aquaphor on it once it appeared. It did seem to get a little less flaky when I started with aquaphor but the spot doesn’t seem to be getting better.
Any ideas what this is and how to treat it? If I can get into my derm sooner I will, but in the meantime, I can’t get in until July. I made an appt a couple months ago for an annual derm checkup but the next available wasn’t until July. I’m on the waiting list for cancellations.
Side note - I also need suggestions on those fine wrinkles I just discovered I have thanks to these pictures. 😩 Guess that’s my initiation into my 40s. 😂
