Transfer Student single parent

Hey folks, I’m transferring to U of A in September from the U.S. I’ve done two years at a community college for my B.A in Sociology.

I’m moving back to Edmonton after 10 years, and feeling out of sorts. I was hoping there would be more resources available online for transfer students to the school or support for single parents, but I haven’t had much luck yet and student services haven’t been very helpful .

Are there any programs/clubs the school runs for single parents/families? Community meet ups for single parents? References to great daycares? Advice for transfer students?
