Keep testing crib? Or let it go?

🐥 Infant 2-12 Months

My babe has decided the sidecar crib is lava. She was a great sleeper in her basinet until about four months (she’s 5.5 months now) and it’s all been downhill from there. She will only sleep in our bed now. I try the crib for a few hours every night, but lately the crying has been really ratcheting up, and I have a hard time settling her, even when feeding to sleep. I’m wondering if I keep trying the crib at the start of the night, for exposure sake, or if it’s a lost cause and making my baby upset for no good reason.

The thing is, I love that others love cosleeping, and wish I did too, but I hate it. I’m cold, uncomfortable, anxious, and miss snuggling my husband (we have always been hardcore cuddlers, just plastered to one another all night, so I’m not used to this). I’d do anything (except sleep training of any kind) to get baby to sleep happily in her crib.
