2 days post op!
22F here. Surgery was on June 12th. I was excited for surgery, I’ve had 2 surgeries in the past and anesthesia and surgery don’t scare me at all. I’m on Oxycodone, Tylenol and Motrin. Once I was awake after surgery, I was outta the hospital in less than an hour. Very nauseous immediately after surgery, I took a zofran as soon as I got home and was fine. Very sore these last 2 days. Hardest part for me is getting up from laying down or sitting, or trying to shift or roll in bed. 1st night I had buttered noodles, spaghetti the next night, and hot dogs today. Kept everything down really well so far, have not had a bowel movement yet but I have stool softener on hand when I get to that point. My belly button hurts the most, I have 5 incisions in total. I also haven’t had any gas pains! I’m shocked about that. My abdomen feels sore like I’ve done over 100 sit-ups or crunches. Gravity is not your friend, I recommend holding a pillow to your stomach when u walk or stand. Does anyone have any other tips or tricks for this post op recovery?
