TD Travel Insurance

Purchased the TD travel insurance (trip cancellation and interruption) the day of my flight out of the country, a few hours prior to the flight takeoff. Will I still be eligible? We ended up cancelling our flights and not going due to a car breakdown on the way to the airport. I’m wondering if they will consider this ineligible because I purchased it the same day as the trip? Going to call tomorrow, just wondering if anyone’s been through this scenario already and how it turned out?
