Stain repellant spray?

I just got a custom taupe linen-wool blend suit that I'm very happy with and I'm considering how to keep it looking nice. Does it make sense to use a stain repellant spray on it? If so, what are the down sides? What one is best to use? Any other advice on caring for it? My previous suits were dark so stains didn't show, and were wool only. Thanks.
