My son started this gofundme for me... I was in a head-on collision with an intoxicated driver with no insurance at the end of March... I was life-flighted from Highlands to the Memorial Hermann hospital at that time. I was in the Houston area for the birth of my grandchild and going to visit my daughter and other 2 grandsons for the day in Port Arthur on Sunday, March 30th when the accident took place. Spent nearly 2 weeks in the hospital. I'm from San Antonio and I haven't been able to go home since due to my injuries and I'm not able to live by myself right now since I'm not able to walk. My car was totaled anyway, and I'm staying with my daughter and she is taking care of me. She has been an angel! I had a traumatic foot injury and I broke my right hand. I'm unable to walk at present and should be able to start physical therapy hopefully the 2nd week in July. I worked at a charter school in the pre-k program and worked for Spark, Instacart, Favor and Amazon Flex to get the bills paid... I have no income and depending on the kindness of others to help me out. I'm not complaining, I'm just stating what is happening in my life. I am VERY thankful to be alive even though this has been a long process with 3 surgeries to repair my foot and I may still need surgery on my hand. Thanks for reading my story!
