AIO Pet sitter feeding my cat way too much

My boyfriend and I are on vacation for 5 days and have a pet sitter watching our dog and cat. Before we left, I texted her a thorough breakdown of what she needs to do, and its 99% for the dog. I have an automatic pet feeder for my cat and a water fountain so all I asked of her was to make sure they were working properly and that the water fountain was never low (I filled it up before I left). The night before we get home, I text her and ask how everything is going and if my cats food and water machines are okay. She said she never saw any food come out of his feeder so shes been feeding him manually (by scooping into the feeder and putting it in the bowl). I checked my feeder app and its been feeding him normally 3 times a day. So hes been eating 4, 5, 6 times a day? What the heck? Why wouldn’t she ask me to clarify if this was okay?
