Today we won a battle, but not the war

I am incredibly proud to see the amazing turnout today and even more proud that it remained peaceful. I’m glad to see that trumps ego trip of a parade was largely a snooze fest. We still have a major obstacle to overcome though. While congress failed to stop the so called “one big beautiful bill”, the senate is still deliberating and is set to vote on it this week. We have shown up in the streets, but now we need to show up on the phones to let our senators know that we oppose this bill! It will gut the federal courts ability to enforce their rulings. They have held the line when it comes to halting trumps unconstitutional executive orders, but this bill is going to completely undermine the checks and balances built into our country’s foundation. It opens the door for unfettered abuse of executive powers. Call your senators and tell them to vote NO on the “One Big Beautiful Bill”.
