Why does my data connection suck?!

I pay for 5G, and not only do I rarely get a 5G connection, but when at my house the data connection is absolute trash. I could have nearly full bars of 4G, and half of my apps will think I have no internet. There are far too many cell towers in my area for this to be happening. The only time I have decent connection at home, is at night. Again, too many cell towers for that. They did that with my parents too. They had wifi through Verizon, and it would reset the router several times a week, and then eventually it would lag out several times a day. They told my parents the tower wasn't facing the right way. They've already screwed us over more than once. Luckily when I called them on it this most recent time, they agreed to "fix" it, since we've been such loyal customers for so many years. If they really want to fix it, they need to make sure every employee is on the same page, so we aren't told 3 different things by 3 different people, and then told "I apologize for the miscommunication". We stuck with them this long, because we had signal in most areas other companies didn't. But it's getting to the point that it's not worth it anymore. If our roommate doesn't pay the wifi, I can't hardly use my own phone in my own home.
