Syril and Luke

When I finally finished Andor and re-watched Rogue One and A New Hope, one of my biggest takeaways when viewing these works through the lens of Andor was how similar of a characters of Syril and Luke were. Amidst all these spies, government agents, etc ....Syril and Luke seemed to be the closest look at the average Imperial citizen. Both whiny young men that grew up with absent, "adventuring" fathers, arguing with their parental figures, having an uncle who knows what's best for their career path, etc....its just one grew up in the capitol of the galaxy idolizing the Empire and one grew as far away from "the bright center of the galaxy" on a rural farm and he idolized the Rebellion. But they both offer the youthful "everyman" look at the galaxy. One just made all the wrong choices and when it mattered, didn't know "who are you?", whereas one made the right decision to join the right side.
