Switch Performance

Haven’t played in a few months and when I was playing regularly, it was on my PC. Tonight I played on my OLED switch and it was really choppy, loading took a minute or more between locations, cooking was out of sync, my glider would just not appear, etc.

Is this typical or are there some settings I need to change to make the game more playable?
