does ulta stylists get any money by recommending customers products purchase?
basically the title
I got my style done at ulta the first time and I loved my stylist and was willing to give a huge tip, I was so happy when everything was done
But then my stylist starts getting me products, and she basically chaperoned me to the counter and I bought everything, which was a whooping $300, which might not be a lot to other people, but it's way out of my price range, who made an appointment online and was only expecting around $55 So it's my fault for not being clearer on the No but I got swept up in the moment.
It was a $55 service, and I ended up only tipping $15 because the products already cost so much. I feel bad because the tip was way less than I intended
So my question basically is, do the stylists get a share of the products I purchased?
I literally never been to ulta before and this was my first time ever doing something at the salon, would appreciate anyone enlightening my ignorance, tysm
