Why aren’t apprentices posting their tattoos here?

Let me open with, this isn’t meant to come across as rude or gatekeeping or anything of the sort. Just a general question about this sub. I’ve been here for a while now and I feel like I rarely see tattoos on skin (or fake skin).

Yesterday I posted a tattoo here and it didn’t get any traction. All good, I’m still proud of the tattoo I did. But that’s what made me think about how I don’t really see many tattoos here. It’s all advice or portfolio critiques (which definitely belongs here, that’s not a compliant). So I looked at the top posts of all time.

It was 37 posts before one was a tattoo. Do aspiring apprentices not have questions on actual tattooing? Are actual tattoos no longer the main focus of this page? It just feels so strange to me that a sub call Tattoo Apprentices is maybe like 5-10% in skin tattooing.

I truly do not mean to come across as rude or ignorant. I also realize a lot more people probably want an apprenticeship, than people that are actively apprenticing. It’s just kinda strange that tattoos and tattooing don’t feel like the focus here when that’s the end goal. I LOVE flash, but it’s not worth much unless you can tattoo it. This could be a great place for a wealth of knowledge and it feels under utilized. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
