Taxes

Does anyone know what's supposed to happen if you can't pay your taxes in the 9-day window? Will my base get attacked by Sardaukar? Will I go into debt with the Emperor? What am I supposed to do if I can't be online for a couple of weeks? At least with power we have 20 days, but taxes are every 9, really concerned about this.
