Looking for camera suggestions

Hiii! I shoot film pretty casually, so I generally don’t go for expensive cameras. I was just using the Kodak m38 camera for the first time with Kodak gold 200 film, but I think the camera jammed and essentially destroyed the film. I was in the middle of using the roll, and the camera seemed to have reset, with the pic count going back to S and the advance nonstop rolling despite the roll being in. I tried to take out the film, but the winding handle kept jamming, and I essentially had to rip the film out ☹️. (If anyone has any advice on fixing this I would appreciate it lol) Moral of the story, I really need advice finding a good camera, preferably under 100 dollars, that will last. I’ve been buying 50 dollar cameras for the last few years, but I’d like to get a nice camera that lasts but isn’t too professional. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!!
