Insect handling question

Hey y'all! So, I have a pretty sizeable fear of bugs having their body parts detatch. I don't know what it is, I just cannot handle it.

Then I'll pull up YouTube and see people who mess with insects for a living holding onto their specimens by one leg while the bug tries it's best to rip that leg off! Are they not able to remove their own legs like that, or are those folks just hoping they don't come off? They'll be showing off what seems to be a very important beetle or similar and just manhandling the crap out of it 😂
