My parents had always warned me to never go to a frat party, but I just assumed they were being hyperbolic. So when I got the invite to go to a party with a bunch of people I'd never met, I couldn't help but feel thr curiosity rise in my chest. A part of me needed to know what was true and what wasn't, and that part of me wouldn't quiet down until I was on the porch of the house, a 12-pack of some cheap beer in my hand. A brother was stood at the front door, his eyes trailing up and down my body, as if he was sizing me up. A smirk spread across is face as he nodded and pushed the door open, the previously muffled music blasting through the door as I walked into the party. My eyes anxiously swept the room as I tried to find any sort of familiar face, but all I could see were new faces guzzling shitty beer, women in skimpy clothing, and a DJ atop a DIY stage. I had no idea what I was in for.
