Writing a book

I am writing a book that's based in New Jersey and I'm trying to find a city to base it out of.

What towns/cities are yall tired of seeing? And where would yall like to read about more? Or what cities/towns do yall want to get more representation?

And what should I know about Jersey to write a more consistent and accurate story?

Sorry if this is a stupid post, I thought I'd be better to ask a community then to just guess.

It's based in the early 2000's to current time, don't know if that'll help
