How do I do the laundry without dropping clothes as I lift them out of the machine?
I have general issues with dropping and knocking things over, but laundry is the only consistent scenario.
I grab a pile of clothes in the washer, and lift them up to put them in the dryer. No matter how tightly I hold on to the pile, something inevitably falls out of the pile of clothes in my hands and onto the floor. It can also fall out as I'm carrying the bundle of clothes from the machine to my bedroom where I fold them (2 second walk).
Alternatively it can be stuck to an article of clothing that I'm pulling out of the machine, and by pulling that piece of clothing out of the machine, the other thing is basically catapulted out of the machine and on to the floor. I've never been able to pull something out of the machine without something else stuck to it, so I grab the second item so it doesn't fall, and then a third item is stuck to the second item...
Usually the thing that falls out is something small, hence it can hide in the pile of clothes in my hand or cling onto something else that I'm pulling out of the machine. And if it falls on the ground then it's dirty again, so I need to immediately put it back in the dishwasher.
It's so frustrating how I can't accomplish a simple task without making a mistake. At this point whenever it happens my mood and energy levels immediately plummet and I just feel defeat and despair the rest of the day. How do I fix this?
