Skeletron sucks

So, I've been doing a ForTheWorthy Legendary world for a while now and I cant seem to beat Skeletron, I tried summoner (what got my through Brain) and that didn't work, so I switched to mage and that didnt work, I'm running out of ideas and I'm losing my mind, any tips? (For mage i had full meteorite armor with the spacegun and all accessories menecing and summoner i had obsidian armor with snapthorn and the imp staff.)
