Local delivery of local gifts

Hi all, I'm in the United States, and looking to order a gift online for a Bologna lawyer who helped me with a legal issue. I'm looking for something local, that can be delivered, and that will put a personal message from me on a card along with delivery. Chocolates was my first choice, but I think summertime is not smart for delivering chocolates as they melt. I don't want to use sendgiftbasket dot eu or anything like that because it's so corporate. I'm trying to figure out something local that will be appreciated. I appreciate any input. Thank you.
