Tv mode should be rbought back in a different way
Ever since TV mode was removed, there’s been a noticeable gap in the storytelling experience. For example, in the Sanby story, where she infiltrates the base, we were just left with a black screen. We could have been guiding her through that with the TV system, adding an extra layer of immersion. Similarly, characters like Fairy and Eous no longer get their unique plot moments.
With the introduction of 2.0, the new 3D exploration system replaced TV mode, but while it fixed some of TV mode’s issues, it also took away what we loved about it. The music, the little animations, the aesthetic—these elements added depth and atmosphere, especially in conveying the plot of the proxy. The new system still feels like a “combat-dialogue-combat” cycle, lacking the charm and immersion TV mode provided.
If the TV system could be reintroduced, but this time as a tool to map out areas and provide perspective—like the proxies did—while still allowing us to explore in the 3D system, it could bring back that missing sense of narrative depth. The proxy is still out there, after all. It just seems like a shame to lose such a unique storytelling element. after all, we didnt like tvs for the sake of mooving a banboo in tiles.
EDIT: TV mode shouldnt stay as it was, it should be optimized, making it shorter and animations not interrupt your expirience
i made this post because i think zzz isnt unique anymore with how its remooving everything that made it unique, the new 3d mode is good but like "using a scanner to make something appear and spawn bridges" is the most mundane thing ever it feels like its in every gacha
tvs just werent used the right way and were overused before
