How many gorillas?

How many gorillas could a man take, or vice versa, how many men could a gorilla take. Both are just thrown into the arena with;

R1. Man armed with a spear. No armour. Just a wooden shield and spear. Spear tip is iron

R2. A man armed with a wooden spear but in plate armour. Would the armour help or hinder him, can a gorilla damage plate armour effectively. Will the wooden spear even withstand the force of a gorilla

Round3. Same as R2 but with a steel reinforced spear

Round4 Same as R1 but with a modern spear, what I imagine would be lightweight, sturdy.

Round 5. Man in play armour with a modern spear. Would the mobility help. Or would the lack of armour be his downfall

Bonus round. How many chimpanzees could a marine take down with infinite .338 ammo.
