Should I go for an MPV or a subcompact next? (Previous cars were sedans)

Hey everyone,
I’m at a crossroads and could really use some input. My previous two cars were sedans, and while they’ve served me well, I’m now considering a change.

I’m thinking of getting an MPV since I often travel from Cavite to Laguna, and madalas akyatan yung route. Also, medyo marami kaming bitbit kapag dinadalaw namin ang side namin sa Laguna — especially with my kid and all the stuff we bring.

Pero naiisip ko rin… baka overkill yung MPV? since i be mostly using it home to work 80% of the time pag nasa cavite kame.

On the other hand, I’m considering a subcompact. Mas budget-friendly, and since we’re a family of 3, okay na okay siya for weekend gala and short trips. Plus, tipid sa gas — which is a big plus for daily driving. but the space

Should I go for a 7-seater MPV or stick with a subcompact?
Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you’ve had a similar dilemma.
