Made a somewhat unfortunate correlation the other night.

First off, hello everyone, somewhat new listener here. I started late last year after a streamer I watch mentioned I Was Buried In Mount Pleasant Cemetary as "the first thing he thought of" when Type O Negative was brought up (lots of music conversations over there haha). After stream ended I went and listened to it, and subsequently the whole Green Album and I loved it. It's been in my main listening rotation ever since.

I've obviously done a bit of research on the band since then considering their last album was so long ago and, naturally, found out about the unfortunate passing of David. With that being said, the other night I was listening on my way home from work and something just clicked for me to realize that By The Time You Read This has an even deeper meaning nowadays than they probably originally intended, considering anybody who listens to the song for the first time nowadays will be met with the fact that he is in fact gone.

All this to say I absolutely love all that I've heard from the band and as unfortunate as it is that their tenure was cut short, I'm also glad that they were able to put out what they did. I'm sure I'm probably not the first person to make this realization, and also won't be the last, but it just stuck out to me.

I've read through a few posts here already as well and I'm happy to see their music is still talked about today, and that David's mom is still active too. I admit I still need to get around to listening to their full discography at some point since I haven't listened to much outside of Green, but it's just so good that I haven't branched out from it yet. Oops.
