Engineering or Physics major

Hey guys, so i have chosen to study bachelor of science/advanced computing at Usyd and under bachelor of science,i was thinking of majoring in Physics

Howeeverrrrrr i have heard a lot of stories on how a physics bachelors degree is hardly employable ,so do you think its wise for me to switch to an engineering discipline such as chemical engineering???
