Beginner - $750 USD budget, thinking about Roland TD-07DMK for metal. Worth it?

Hey everyone!

I’m new to drumming and just getting into it, mainly because I really wanna learn to play metal. Stuff with double kicks, fast snare work, all that good stuff

I live in Australia, and my budget is around $750 USD (so like $1100–$1150 AUD depending on the day). I’ve been looking at the Roland TD-07DMK and it seems solid. Mesh pads, MIDI, and it supports double pedals.

Would love to know:

• Is this kit good enough for metal practice long term?
• Is there anything else around that price in AUS that’s better?
• Any limitations I should know about?

I’m a complete beginner, so just trying to make the right choice early on without spending stupid money
