For those of us with parents who don’t believe in man-made climate change or don’t think it’s worth addressing. How do you handle it? What has worked for you?

Discussion

Many from our parents’ generation don’t believe in man-made climate change. I’m curious—what approaches or arguments have worked for you when talking to them about it? Any tips or experiences to share?

For example mine argue that the benefits of fossil fuels far outweigh any potential negative impacts of climate change, which is a reasonable argument. They also say it's changing but naturally and not man-made.

How do you respond to this kind of argument effectively? What’s worked for you in addressing the trade-offs?
