autism is not a personality trait

i have type 2 bpd, level 2 autism, depression, ocd, and a variety of other things wrong with my brain. nothing is more infuriating than having these sorts of complex, nuanced, and sometimes agonizing conditions be reduced to labels that someone can throw on a person they dont like or think is weird. thats all autism rly means to these kids anymore, just a synonym for a person that’s weird and rubs them the wrong way

autism isn’t a descriptive term. its a state of being that alters my perception and processing of this world in so many ways ill never know about. its a shadow that is ever-present yet indescribable. and my life and the lives of many like me would be made so much better if people didn’t try to make it describable.
