Just got invited here, can y'all help me get some good gear?

I recently got caught in a wire trap and it broke my helmet and knocked me out and I'm in the market for a new helmet as I was using a 10 year old hjc helmet I got from a helmet, do y'all have any good recommendations for a helmet and a good jacket for taking a fall on road? I ride a mainly on dirt or on highways.
