Westerners Are starting to get a Reputation and Not the Good Kind

I’m from a group that often gets stereotyped in Pattaya for being too cheap or too mercenary. It sucks a few bad apples paint the rest of us with the same brush. But lately, I’ve noticed Westerners developing the opposite problem, and honestly, it’s just as embarrassing if not worse.

There were two posts recently, one guy spent a ton of cash and couldn’t even get the girl back to his place. Another took his Soi 6 LT to the Hilton rooftop bar lol. This kind of behavior is becoming more common guys trying to impress, unable to control the situation and completely unaware.

Thai business sense can be very tuned it, they’ll extract what they can if they think you’re open to it. That's just economics.

As frustrating as the “cheap” stereotype is for someone who looks like me, the upside is they don’t even try to overcharge me. I’ve never been ripped off or caught in these messy setups. Because they assume I won’t bite from the start. And they’re right. When I travel with my “rule 9” friends, we usually pay less than Westerners – not because we’re getting special treatment, but because westerners are overpaying. The market adjusts to who it’s dealing with.

I took a girl for ST (that turned LT) after her shift for 1,000 apples. She told me an American guy gave her 4,000 for the same thing the week before. Even at Indian clubs like Jalwa, getting LT for 1,500 isn’t hard. Not because we’re special but because we understand this for what it is. Haters will say the ones that go with Indians are terrible looking but these days you'll see a lot of the same decent looking girls like in soi 6.

Yeah, some brown guys bring their own cringe and pushy/creepy behavior to the scene. But at least most of them have the basic common sense to understand it's all business at the end of the day and not to treat this like tinder.

I know plenty of Westerners who get it too, who play it smart and stay in control. But right now, your reputation is being dragged down by a wave of simps who are just blowing up the whole scene. Those simps really need to tighten up. Understand the game. And stop trying to impress people who are just doing their job.
