List Building: Crypt Horrors vs. Variants

I am new to FEC and 2K games. I've played a bit of their Spearhead and like how those units/models operate. I am now trying to create a fun, but competitive 2k list.

I found the Charnelgrand Jury and Starting Collecting box at steal. Ushoran will be part of the final build.

Where I'm stuck, it seems Crypt Horrors (which I have quite a few of to build) pop up on lists more than their variants. Are Crypt Flayers, Crypt Haunter Courtier, Crypt Infernal Courtier, or Vargheists worth considering? Do they play a much more specific purpose? I haven't played with any of them previously, so I'm stuck in a bit of analysis paralysis.

Thanks for any help.
