Nipple piercings - unique experience?

Hey guys, I got my nipples pierced yesterday, with a barbell and I haven't done any aftercare yet because they're super new. After, yesterday I couldn't find anyone who had the same experience as me, so I thought I'd post and ask if any had the same thing happen. Firstly, my piercer was AMAZING! The most intelligent and scientifically done piercing, I think I would trust her with open heart surgery.

The thing I wanted to ask other nipple piercing havers is about the pain I experienced.

Obviously during it was excruciating but that was expected. But after, when I was walking back to my car , I noticed that my nipples weren't what hurt as much - a had a pain in the center of my chest between the two. Right around the middle of my sternum. Sharp and shooting. I don't understand why. Today, my pain is almost entirely diminished. And I'm not worried about yesterday. I just wanted to know if anyone else had had the same thing happen.

This is NOT troubleshooting! I just wanted to share my experience!
