Gender- scared of having a boy

Hi everyone! After 2 years of treatment and heartbreaks, I am now 22w pregnant from IVF and sooo happy for that.

Now the “issue” is that I always thought that the one bright side of going through IVF would be that I will get to chose the gender (I live in UAE where it’s allowed), as I always wanted a girl. But all our 3 viable embryos turn out to be boys… I got sad at first but then the incredible excitement of being pregnant made me over it.

But!! Since I am pregnant everybody is asking for the gender, and they are making me sad again and worried. They always express disappointment when I say it’s a boy, and I cannot count the amount of times I heard “get ready it’s going to be a lot of sport compared to a girl!!”, or “oh he is going to be naughty!” or just “best of luck..!!”. I am also hearing that once he finds a girlfriend, I will become a MIL and basically lose him, whereas girls stay close to you forever. I believe this is true given all the examples around me… All these comments have gone to my head and got me really depressed…
