Shoe care

As the temps start to rise I'm noticing that I'm completely drenching my shoes in sweat on longer runs. After you guys get your shoes really sweaty how do you care for them afterwards? Is it safe to just set them in the sun to dry or should I hose em down before drying to rinse some of the sweat out?
