How do you "honor thy father" on Father's Day?

Sonora Smart Dodd is credited with creating Father's Day. Inspired by a Mother's Day sermon, she wanted to honor her father, a Civil War veteran who raised her and her siblings alone. The first Father's Day celebration took place in Spokane, Washington, on June 19, 1910, largely thanks to Dodd's efforts and the support of the local YMCA and churches.

Interestingly enough, even goodfellas managed to be good fathers as well, arguably "worthy" of their children's love.
